Abstract

This study investigates students’ acceptance of Google Sites (GS) as a digital learning platform for Mathematics and Statistics courses, guided by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A total of 251 diploma and degree students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Samarahan and Samarahan 2 campuses, Sarawak, participated. Data were collected using a 28-item questionnaire covering five TAM constructs: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, behavioural intention, and perception. The results showed consistently high levels of agreement, with mean scores ranging from 4.39 to 4.61 on a 5-point Likert scale. Ease of use scored highest (M = 4.61), indicating that GS was easy to access, especially via mobile devices. Students also described the platform as flexible, engaging, and supportive of learning. An independent t‑test revealed significant gender differences in ease of use and usefulness, with female students reporting higher scores, while no differences were found in attitude, intention, or perception. Overall, GS was a practical, well-received platform that provided useful insights for educators and suggested future comparisons with platforms such as Google Classroom (GC).
