Industrial training challenges among halal students

Mohammad Hurairoh, Fatimah Sofea and Jelani, Ahmad Bakhtiar (2026) Industrial training challenges among halal students. Bulletin. Universiti Teknologi MARA, Negeri Sembilan.

Abstract

Industrial training provides students, including those in halal management, with practical work experience, but they face significant challenges such as a limited availability of truly halal-compliant placement opportunities, a situation that was further worsened by pandemic-related restrictions like the Movement Control Order (MCO). Additionally, students experience a distinct gap between the theoretical concepts learned in the classroom such as halal assurance systems and audits and the complex practical application required in real-world professional environments.
