To fulfill the final requirement of my Bachelor's degree, I was given the opportunity to intern at Nasuha Herbs & Spices in the Human Resources Department. Situated on a 3,200-acre plantation in Muar, Johor, Nasuha is one of Asia's top herbal- based businesses, providing everything from manufacturing to wellness tourism. Through my internship, I gained valuable experience with HR procedures at a fast-paced, dynamic company that prioritizes people, innovation, and tradition. During my internship, I was actively involved in various major areas of human resources. In order to draw in qualified applicants, I helped organize and advertise job openings on a variety of channels. I also helped with the recruitment process, which included evaluating resumes, shortlisting candidates, and scheduling interviews with department heads. These jobs provided me with hands-on experience managing one of HR's most critical functions. This internship not only taught me practical HR skills but also helped me see the big picture but on how HR contributes to a company's growth and sustainability. I saw both strengths and places for improvement, particularly the potential to further digitalize HR processes and increase employee development efforts. Overall, this internship journey was extremely beneficial to my academic progress and personal development. It fueled my interest in human resources and gave me the confidence to pursue it as a professional job in the future.
