Abstract
The UiTM Orthopaedic & Traumatology Department, Faculty of Medicine & Hospital Al- Sultan Abdullah (HASA), UiTM strives to educate undergraduate students and medical officers while offering our patients the best possible clinical care. Trauma serves as a foundation of orthopaedic surgery. Having a strong, sound fundamental knowledge, as well as mastering accurate surgical techniques, will provide a solid foundation for medical officers to manage orthopaedic cases and acquire the necessary surgical skills. The first orthopaedic trauma course organized was in May 2016 with just 15 participants, and the number doubled for July 2018. In October 2019, the course was rebranded as the Selangor Orthopaedic Trauma Course 2019 (SELORTCO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health’s Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Selayang.
