Abstract

The involvement of women is very important for construction projects in Malaysia. This is because with their involvement they can contribute to the success of the construction projects. However, there are constraints that women must face to get involved with construction projects such as the lack of role models, discrimination, and the perception of what can also be said to be a challenge for them to get involved with construction projects. This research aims to establish women's involvement strategies in Malaysia's construction projects. The first objective of this research is to identify the level of women's involvement in construction projects. Second, to determine the constraint of women's involvement in construction projects, the last objective is to recommend strategies to enhance the level of women's involvement in Malaysia's construction projects. Quantitative approaches were employed to fulfil the research objectives, including questionnaire surveys from 78 of 105 contractors firm G5 to G7 respondents and secondary data from written resources and the internet. Then, Statistical Package for Social Science SPSS version 29 analysed the raw data. According to the data, most respondents were women, however, women's involvement in building projects still lags behind males and was still limited.
