Abstract
The construction industry is inherently hazardous with a significant risk of workplace accidents and injuries. That workplace is one of the most dangerous workplaces because most of the time, there is always an accident happening at the construction site. This can lead to nonpermanent disability accident. Non-permanent disability is a generally term used to describe as temporarily hinder individuals from performing daily activities or work tasks. These disabilities are expected to resolve once the person recovers, and they often occur due to illnesses or injuries, including those on construction sites. Therefore, this study is carried out in order to have in-depth knowledge in non-permanent disability on construction site. The objectives of this study are to identify the types of non-permanent disability accident that occur on construction site in Selangor, to determine the implementation of safety and health management to prevent non-permanent disability accident that occur on construction site in Selangor and to suggest solution to reduce non-permanent disability accident that occur on construction site in Selangor. This study is aimed to investigate the implementation of safety and health management to prevent non-permanent disability on construction site. In achieving the objectives of this study, the questionnaires were distributed randomly among the site supervisor at G7 contractor companies in Selangor.
