Abstract
On 12 June 2024, the Intermational Knowledge Program. Cabaran Puslakawan Gen Z, brought together expertise from Indonesia to address the evolving challenges of engaging Generation Z (Gen Z) in library services. Organized with the objectives of understanding Gen Z's unique needs, fostering cultural exchange, and sharing innovative practices, the event featured discussions, seminars, and collaborative projects. A notable highlight was the participation of Dr. Sofirotul Khoir from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, who presented strategies for enhancing user engagement through modem library management techniques The program emphasized cultural exchange through interactive sessions that explored the similarities and differences between the two nations approaches to librarianship. Participants collaborated on developing innovative solutions for tailoring library services to meet the expectations of techsavvy Gen Z users. These sessions not only deepened mutual respect but also paved the way for future professional partnerships and shared initiatives. By the end of the event, attendees had gained new insights and proposed actionable strategies for modenizing library practices. The program coneluded with a strengthened sense of collahoration between Malaysia and Indoncsia, underscoring the importance of cross-cultural parmerships in addressing glohal challenges in information management.
