Abstract

APAM BAM is a partnership business that is owned by five persons which are Ms. Sarah Lailatulhuda, Ms. Nurul Najihah, Ms. Irdiena Auni Azhar, Ms. Ainatul Munirah and Ms. Ilya Nadhirah. Each of the business owners has their own position where Ms. Sarah holds the position of general manager and will be assisted by Ms. Nurul, an administrative staff. Ms. Irdiena, Ms. Ainatul and Ms. Ilya are responsible for operational activities of the business where Ms. Irdiena works as service crew, while Ms. Ainatul and Ms. Ilya works as cooker. The commencement of the business was on 1 October 2020, and the business will start its operation on 23 January 2021. The business is located at No. 45-G, Block F, Platinum Walk, No. 2, Jalan Langkawi, Setapak, 53300 Kuala Lumpur. The core of the business activity is producing various types of Apam Balik such as Apam Balik Classic, Apam Balik Kacang Merah, Apam Balik Charcoal Salted Egg, Apam Balik Lotus Biscoff and Apam Balik Red Velvet. The reason for choosing this dessert as a business is because of its unique texture where it has a soft and slightly spongy texture that can bring instant satisfaction for an eater. It is essential for a food business to build a repeat-customer base and thus, APAM BAM has created menus with ingredients that people normally love nowadays for example, charcoal salted egg, lotus biscoff and red velvet. Since most Apam Balik businesses do not have a proper place for their customers to eat, APAM BAM has planned to open a shop where the customers can dine-in there. The business focuses more on people who have a particular fondness for sweet food and it is transcending age, gender and status of a person. It is because the target market of APAM BAM is general where it includes old people, adult, teenager, kids, workers and students. The revenue stream for APAM BAM business is from the sales of “Apam Balik” and beverages. The beverages are side menus at APAM BAM where it sells existing drinks in the market such as Lipton Ice Lemon Tea, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Mountain Dew, Mirinda Grape, Sprite, Tropicana Twister, Fanta Strawberry and mineral water.
