Abstract
A solid building structure without defects is essential to keep the building stable and functioning as it should. The construction industry has urged the parties involved to take appropriate action to address the problems that occur due to the impacts of defects that occur in the building. However, defects in buildings continue to occur that cause direct or indirect harm not only to the building but also to the occupants or users of the building. The aim of this research is to analyses about the impacts of structural wall defects occurs in the building. The objectives of the research are to identify the types of defects that commonly occur at wall structure, to determine the factors of structural wall defects occurring in a building and to determine the impact to the building due to the structural wall defects. This research is conducted based on thorough review of the literature review and quantitative method using questionnaires as instrument. To achieve this, the questionnaire was distributed to the community who lived in single storey houses at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. A total of 30 respondents were involved in the questionnaire analysis. The average mean was analyses by using latest version of Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 28.00.
