Abstract
This research is about the issues that occurred after the implementation of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) in Malaysia. Nowadays, the need on providing the best facilities that are in line with Value for Money (VfM) may jeopardized the government monetary expenditure. Thus, with the implementation of PFI, it will help in lessen the financial burden that may arise from implementing through traditional procurement. However, in having the best practice on PFI procurement, we must first be enlightened by the issues that could arise through the implementation of this procurement. Therefore, the aim of this research is to initiate the outcome of issues on the implementation of PFI towards the quality of construction product, with the objective of identify the current issues, determining the impact of these issues on the quality of the building and to determine the best way to overcome these issues. Quantitative method had been utilized in conducting this study through distribution of questionnaires among practitioner in the PFI projects.
