Impact of covid-19 towards contractors grade 1 and grade 2 in Pulau Pinang

The COVID-19 outbreak is the greatest global health crisis in a few years. These diseases spread to the whole world drastically and turns out difficult to control its transmission on a daily basis. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the whole construction industry. Many contractors had affected by COVID-19 pandemic The aim of this research to recommend the method to overcome the problem that affected contractors Grade 1 and Grade 2 in Pulau Pinang during the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of this study are to identify the performance of contractors Grade 1 and Grade 2 during COVID-19 pandemic in Pulau Pinang, to find out the main impact of the COVI D-19 pandemic towards contractors Grade 1 and Grade 2 and to recommend the method to overcome the problems that affected contractors Grade 1 and Grade 2. A thorough literature search on recently published literature, industry experiences reports, and other document had been collected there are two main impact that had affected small contractors which are operational problem and financial problem and also some methods that had been recommend by the previous researcher such as initiate flexible work schedule, conducting a risk analysis, encourage in working remotely and supply chain management.
