The purpose of this research is to find out the role of leaders’ emotional intelligence, leaders’ power distance and task interdependence towards employees’ job satisfaction among employees at Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri Johor. In order to complete this study, the data was obtained from primary data through the distribution of questionnaires. Pertaining to that, 155 employees at Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri Johor were chosen as respondent for this study. All the responses were returned back to the researchers. Then, all the collected data were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). From the correlation testing, the result shows that two independent variables which are leaders’ emotional intelligence, and task interdependence has strong significant relationship with employees’ job satisfaction while leaders’ power distance have moderate significant relationship with job satisfaction. Moreover, the result also revealed that and task interdependence is the most influence factor towards employees’ job satisfaction. Besides that, the hypotheses testing display that only leaders; power distance factor is being rejected, while the other two hypotheses concerning leaders’ emotional intelligence and task interdependence are accepted. In conclusions, it shows that leaders who used their emotional intelligence will increase their employees’ job satisfaction and if they used their power distance will lead to employees’ job dissatisfaction. In addition, task interdependence also will increase employees’ job satisfaction.
