Abstract
The Spiritual Care Training for Healthcare Providers, Malaysia 2022 course has been successfully conducted from 28th January to 5th April 2022. The course was coorganized by the Palliative and Supportive Care Unit, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Ziyara Spiritual Care Incorporated (a non-profit organization based in Fresno, California), and supported by the Clinical Pastoral Education of Central California (CPECC). Participants underwent 240 hours of didactics, reflections, role plays, verbatims, group discussions, individual supervisions, and clinical interactions with patients at their respective healthcare institutions. The course educators were Rev Theodore Hodge and Tahara Akmal, both Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) accredited trainers. Upon completing this year' s half-unit course, they were awarded a CPE level 1 certificate and accredited to practice spiritual care.
