Factors that influence academic achievement of Human Resource students in UiTM Bandaraya Melaka

Academic achievement is crucial for students as it linked to a positive outcome in the future. Students who are successful in their academic during university or high level education will more likely to be employed, have more opportunity in the labour market and high marketability than those who get low academic achievement. However, there are students who fails in their subject and it increasing from semester to semester. The aims of this study is to examine the factors that influence academic achievement of Human Resource students in UiTM Bandaraya Melaka. The main objective of the study is to examine the factors that influence academic achievement of Human Resource students in UiTM Bandaraya Melaka. The research design was used in which data from 128 respondents was collected using survey questionnaire from Human Resource students who are in semester one until semester five in UiTM Bandaraya Melaka. A convenience sampling technique was used to sample the respondents based on detailed analysis of the relevant literature. The data was analysed using regression analysis from SPSS system. Findings show that time management and teaching method have a positive relationship while parental support has negative relationship towards the academic achievement of Human Resource students on UiTM Bandaraya Melaka.
