Abstract

Be a student while working is not easy and nowadays, most of the worker continuing their study for their career development. One the reasons of workers further their study while working is improving the quality of their works because through education it can provide more opportunities for them to be promoted in organization besides to get the higher pay. However, they need to divide their time wisely in order to get the balance time between study and work and also their responsibilities as a parents. Besides, literature highlighted that there are many support factors determine these student persist in their part time study. For this research, it was aimed to determine the support factors of continuing study among part time students in UiTM. The population of this study is among part time student in iNed of UiTM Melaka. In this study, 99 respondents took part in answered online questionnaires within 2 weeks. The data that the researcher gathered from respondents is analyse by using SPSS statistical software. For the finding, it shows that independent variables have positive relationship with the dependent variable. However, only two independent variables are have influenced towards the student persistence which are family encouragement and classmates support. The other two independent variables which are organization support and financial factor show that there is no significance relationship with the student persistence. In the recommendation, the researcher highlighted recommendation for significant independent variables which is family support and the classmates support beside recommend further researcher to study in other factors that influence the persistence among part time student.
