Abstract
Administrative law is a branch of public law that governs the actions and procedures of public authorities. It plays a fundamental role in ensuring that governmental power is exercised in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner. This series aims to introduce and explore key terminologies essential to the study of administrative law. A clear understanding of terms such as ultra vires, natural justice, judicial review, delegated legislation and discretionary power is crucial for students to grasp the core concepts of the subject. Students without a legal background often face difficulties in understanding and interpreting legal terminology. Therefore, familiarising themselves with these key terms is an important step towards building a solid foundation in administrative law.
