Abstract

In the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Malaysia is one of the countries that is striving to advance, particularly in the building industry. The adoption of the Industrialized Building System (IBS) in Malaysia signals that the nation is prepared to accommodate significant shifts in its commercial construction sector. The traditional technique of building is slowly giving way to the more advantageous standard method of building, which has led to the rise in popularity of the standard method. However, the technology behind this new technique of construction has a ways to go before it can be considered fully developed. A few simple adjustments could assist remove some needless larger costs, which would contribute to a reduction in overall costs. The purpose of this research is to accomplish several goals, the first of which is to investigate the current problem with transportation as it relates to the delivery of precast panels; the second is to suggest an innovation approach to improve the transportation of precast concrete panels; and the third is to evaluate the market potential of the innovation approach that was proposed. The purpose of this research is to investigate the transportation method of precast concrete panels by using an A-framed holder, and a simulation has been developed with the help of the SketchUp software in order to visualise the concept behind the Precast Panel Holder as well as its potential applications.
