Abstract
This dissertation examines the involvement of contractors in the implementation of the National Construction Policy (NCP) 2030. The NCP 2030 is a significant government initiative aimed at transforming the construction sector into the digital age. The study aims to identify the thrusts of the NCP 2030, determine the level of contractor involvement in its implementation, and ascertain the expected outcomes of the policy. The research employed a quantitative methodology, using a survey of 368 contractors in Malaysia. The findings indicate that the contractors are generally committed to implementing the NCP 2030, with a significant proportion adhering to quality standards and professional management practices. The study also highlights the importance of enhancing data accessibility and good governance in the construction sector. The study concludes that the involvement of contractors in the NCP 2030 implementation is crucial for achieving the policy's objectives. Recommendations are made for future research to further explore the role of contractors in the construction sector and to enhance the effectiveness of the NCP 2030.
