Abstract

The company Ros-Elle has prepared a business plan to secure financing from Maybank Sdn. Bhd. for a Roselle-based business venture, with an estimated project cost of RM 600,000. This cost covers the purchase of shop equipment and premises, renovation, stock, pre-operating expenses, and working capital. Ros-Elle has chosen a strategic location in the heart of Johor Bahru due to its easy visibility and accessibility from major roads. The initial product will be Roselle cordial. Despite moderate competition from other beverage products, Ros-Elle is confident in securing about 15% of the market size by leveraging its strengths in service quality and reasonable pricing. The company's market research indicates a growing demand for health products; Roselle's high nutritional value, specifically its Vitamin C content (twice that of blackcurrant, nine times that of citrus, and three times that of grapes), is expected to attract health-conscious consumers. Ros-Elle foresees a bright future scenario for Roselle-based drinks due to current lifestyle and health trends and plans to expand production to include products like Roselle juice, sauce, candied products, and jam once the initial business is successful.
