Abstract

Today, technical, and vocational education and training, also known as TVET, is a significant field, particularly in the context of assisting developing nations in their transition into the 21st century. One of the developing countries that is actively engaged in producing a skilled workforce to suit the needs of the country's workforce, particularly in the construction industry, Malaysia is one of the countries that is a developing nation. This research aims to find the gaps that exist between TVET graduates and contractors company. The objective of this study is to the discover the problems that were faced by TVET graduates in preparing for job market and to examine the factors that contribute to supply-demand gap in TVET programs. The researcher employed secondary data to conduct a content analysis of prior research in this study. The researcher employs a quantitative strategy by utilising a questionnaire as the primary data collection method, in line with the study purpose and research question. To meet the aims of this study, the research will be conducted to two different groups which are the TVET graduates and also Contractors. conclusion that the majority of vocational and technical education and training (TVET) graduates are not content with their current circumstances as TVET graduates, which shows that they are not well equipped for the job market. The gaps between the construction sector and TVET programs include mismatches in technical skills, such as technology readiness, and deficiencies in soft skills like communication and creativity, impacting graduates' preparedness for industry demands.
