Abstract

For the Muslims, Islamic funeral prayer is categorized as Fard Kifayah and a process that must be done as fast as possible for the diseased and as a Muslim, we need to come and perform Islamic funeral prayer as one of the duties of Muslim. The current problem is people hard to learn about Islamic funeral prayer because lack of learning matertials. The aim of this project is to develop iJenazAR Islamic funeral prayer using Augmented Reality for people who want to learn about the process on performing Islamic funeral prayer. The main feature of iJenazAR is using Augmented Reality technology which is marker-based technique to increase user experience as existing and similar applications that are available on the market only using audio and text and do not have this function. AR has revolutionized various domain such as business, education, and entertainment. The implementation of AR technology is capable on leverage the user experience. iJenazAR is developed using Malay language and is built on Android platform. The significant of this iJenazAR application as an assistive learning tool in order to help the Muslim educators and Muslims to learn Islamic funeral prayer in an interactive and engaging manner. ADDIE model has been used to ensure that every phase in collecting iJenazAR’s content requirement, designing iJenazAR application and develop iJenazAR application run in structured way. This research is based on the user testing session with one (1) expert and three (3) users to get their responses while using iJenazAR application. The data collected was analyzed to determine iJenazAR’s limitations and for future enhancement. This study offers suggestive evidence that Augmented Reality technology capable on leverage user experience in learning Islamic funeral prayer.
