Industrial training report: Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd

As part of my Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) program at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), I undertook a 24-week internship at Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, contributing to the Silicon Island Development in Penang. However, the company faces challenges such as project complexity affecting employee integration, communication, barriers across department and occasional bureaucratic inefficiency. Global operations bring complexities in navigating diverse laws and standard, while depended on government contract exposes it to economic risks and regulatory changes. managing financial risks, including cash flow and cost overruns, remains critical. opportunities for Gamuda Engineering include expanding domestically and internationally, leveraging technology for operational efficiency, exploring new markets and meeting demand for sustainable infrastructure. despite economic fluctuations, competitive pressures, political uncertainties and rapid technology changes, proactive strategies focused on innovation and growth can position Gamuda Engineering for continues success.
