Abstract

Flute is one musical instrument in the ensemble keroncong. Flute function in the same keroncong violin ensemble which together increase the melody as the opening song (intro), contermelody, melodicfiller, fill the void in the middle of the song, as well as cover songs (coda). Flute in keroncong music usually plays only one technique only, slur technique. In this study, the authors have made an experiment using a technique known as double-tonguing flute of musical instruments that playa role in this keroncong esembel. Applications of this technique are the notation of the rhythms played by flute keroncong. The author has used two samples of songs that are Stambul: Kecewa (Frustrated) and songs of Extras: Aryati in which the author himself had signed the transcription notation flute made and apply the technique of double-tounging. It is hoped that extensive research to develop more musical genres and at once elevate keroncong music from time to time. The author hopes that this research study will be beneficial to all useful for the study of keroncong rhythm in the future
