Durio zibethinus seed powder in scrub formulation / Nur Athirah Awang

This research study is based on the incorporation of durian or Durio zibethinus seed powder into body scrub formulation. To prove durian seed scrub has good rheological properties and stable, three analysis have been made which are, rheology testing by using Anton Paar MCR 501 Rheometer, spread ability properties by using Texture Analyser by Stable Micro System and also stability testing by using LumiFuge® Stability Analyser. The result from each study was compared to control, which has same ingredient as the durian seed scrub but without the durian seed powder. From this three test it is found that the durian seed scrub has shear thinning properties and has good spread ability properties. The formulation containing durian seed powder also show stability along one month duration of shelf life. Through this accelerated study shows that durian seed and the formulation proves its compatibility to each other.
