Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance between islamic and conventional insurance in Asia countries. The data selected for the study covered a period of seven years from 2010 until 2016. the data were analyzed using the Stata software in generating the result. The variable used to measure the performance level of the insurance is financial ratio and the measuring relationships are leverage,size, liquidity and return on asset. Many researchers from the previous study suggested that conventional insurance has better performance than takaful. Similarly the result of this study found that the conventional insurance demonstrated better performance in Asia country.
