Industrial training report: Renesas Electronics (Penang) Sdn Bhd / Nurul Syazwana Y Sazli

In my final semester, I had the chance to undertake my industrial training at Renesas Electronics (Penang) Sdn Bhd, a manufacturing company located in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang. During this internship, I worked as a Human Resources Trainee in the Human Resources department. This experience significantly benefited me by enhancing my knowledge and honing my skills for my future career.
Renesas Electronics Corporation has several subsidiaries in Malaysia, including Renesas Semiconductor KL Sdn. Bhd., Renesas Semiconductor Design (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Renesas Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Renesas Semiconductor (Penang) Sdn. Bhd., and Renesas Electronics (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. I was employed under Renesas Electronics (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. This company offers four main products to its customers: Microcontrollers (MCUs), System-on-Chip (SoC) Solutions, Analog and Power Devices, and Memory Products.
Throughout my internship, I was assigned seven tasks: preparing monthly PCB and company tax submissions (CP22 Form) and registrations with the Department of Inland Revenue, liaising with respective departments to update job descriptions and transferring soft copy job descriptions (DL, NE, EX) into SharePoint, updating the filing system for active and inactive employees, assisting new hires during orientation sessions, implementing the 5S methodology in the office, supporting important HR events to ensure smooth execution, and preparing sets of smocks, ESD shoes, and caps for production and engineering employees.
In conclusion, I am delighted with my 6-month internship at this company, as it provided me with extensive experience and personal growth. Additionally, I improved my skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. This experience also allowed me to conduct a SWOT analysis and reflect on the entirety of my internship journey.
