Industrial training report: Johor Specialist Hospital, Medical Record Services / Nur Shawani Tajuddin

Records management faculty had required students from faculty to undergo an industrial training for twenty weeks which five months starting 2nd February 2015 until 30th June 2015 as part of requirement to complete the two and half years of Bachelor of Information Science (Hons.) Recods Management courses. The student was offered to training at Johor Specialist Hospital in Medical Record Services. Furthermore, in the five months of industrial training, the practical student was assign to every unit in the Medical Record Services. The practical student gained a lot of knowledge and experience as strength to face the real work environment. The Medical Record Services trained the practical student with a lot of information as knowledge in management of medical record services. The unit in Medical Record Services is Medical Record Library, Registration, Microfilm and Medical Secretary. The work processes in Medical Records Services related to each other's which make the work perform is easier and manageable. The work processes in the Medical Record Library covered almost subject courses during degree session. Medical Record Services assign practical student to the units which make the practical student can build confident level, communication skills, decision making and problem solving, perform work tasks with faster. The Medical Record Library and Microfilm assign student to deliver case note, diagnose patient diagnosis and communicate with patients. In addition, the Registration unit also give opportunity to practical student to gain experience in communication skill, work process case note from creation and also work proses. Medical Record Services good opportunity to gain experienced and knowledge.
