Abstract
This course is a continuation of Clinical Microbiology II and will provide a detail understanding of the nature of medically important microorganisms and their relationships with the human hosts. Laboratory techniques in medical mycology will be introduced. Laboratory sessions are used to review techniques for pathogen isolation and identification. Emphasis will be placed on the proper procedures for reporting patient results in order to prepare the student for their clinical training.
