Abstract
Beetles (Coleoptera) are organisms that cause damage to wood. The beetles are the largest insect order comprising of the known insects. There are four families of beetle Lyctidae, Anobiidae, Bostrychidae and Cerambycidae. Most of the infestation that is caused by beetle occurred while the beetle is still in the larval stage. Characteristics of the frass and the tunnels system vary between different wood boring beetle species.
