Abstract
Bahulu Panas is a traditional bahulu store located in Tikam Batu, Kedah, owned by Muhammad llhamy bin Kamal, situated at Lot 1139, Kampung Batu, Tikam Batu, 08600, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Rooted in family tradition, Bahulu Panas has long cherished bahulu as a generational heritage, but with a vision to expand on a larger scale, they are embracing a new and exciting twist. Present to you, Bahulu Kingyo. Inspired by taiyaki, Japan's beloved fish-shaped street snack, Bahulu Kingyo reimagines the classic bahulu with a modern, cross-cultural fusion. This innovative approach introduces Japanese inspired flavored fillings, creating a unique taste experience that appeals to Malaysian and Japanese youngsters who love exploring new flavors and textures. Moreover, the new tagline "The Taste of Heritage" represents the heart of Bahulu Kingyo. A harmonious blend of Malaysian and Japanese traditions into a single delightful bite. By merging Malaysia 's time honored fish shaped bahulu with Japan's beloved taiyaki. Bahulu Kingyo preserves heritage while embracing innovation, making it a treat that transcends cultures. Furthermore, The Bahulu Kingyo series offers a selection of indulgent flavors, each crafted to highlight the richness of both Malaysian and Japanese influences. Firstly, Matcha Tarik Custard, a bold & earthy indulgence. This flavor combines the deep, umami rich essence af Japanese matcha with the comforting creaminess af Malaysia 's iconic teh larik, resulting in a smooth and velvety custard fil ling. Secondly, Sakura Bandung Custard, a Floral & Sweet Delight. This delicate fusion takes inspiration from Japan's cherry blossoms sakura and Malaysia's nostalgic bandung drink, transforming them into a luxuriously smooth custard. Lastly, Persimmon Manis Custard, a fruity & honey like sweetness. Persimmons are known for their smooth, jam like texture and subtle spiced undertones. making this custard a decadent yet refreshing delight. To sum up, I hope the bohulu industry in Malaysia c ontinues to evolve with creative innovations while slaying true lo its lrodilional roots. II would be great to see more local entrepreneurs exploring new flavors, modem designs, and global marketing strategies to bring this beloved heritage snack lo a wider audience.
