Abstract

Furniture industry has been developing since the ancient of China, Egypt and Greek. From that year different kind of furniture from variety of material has been produce. But, furniture industry begins with wood as the main raw material. Wood are chosen because of it attractive anatomy appearance and also because of it excellent performance in manufacturing process. Therefore, wood have high commercial value compare to non wood furniture such as rattan and bamboo. Rattan and bamboo select as an alternative material in order to produce variety of furniture in the market also to fulfill current demand. Rattan and bamboo have it own aesthetic and rustic value that bring them align as demanded furniture nowadays. Both material wood and non wood use different method in manufacturing and their export value increase from year to year.
