Properties off paper from ludai (sapium baccatum) using kraft pulping process / Fatihah Samsudin

In this study, five difference or beating revolution were 100,200,300,400 and 500 which variable of 0 beating revolution was used as a controller. The species used for this study was Ludai and the method for pulping was kraft pulping. The purposes of stud) to determine the paper properties from Ludai and to determine an effect of beating in paper properties. MK digester was used for kraft cooking with active alkali (AA) of 17 %. Paper properties follow TAPPI standard. Several type of testing was conducted such as burst testing, folding endurance and tearing testing. From the result. it was concluded that the paper strength increase depend on their beating revolution and Ludai species was not suitable for papermaking because in produce low quality of paper.
