The meaning of Malaysian Independence Day among young generation / Izuandi Ibrahim and Siti Noor Izlinnizan Manari

People always heard about Malaysian Independence Day. However, mostly those who are celebrating it did not know actually what is the meaning behind the celebration of Malaysian Independence Day especially for young generation. Mostly there are a few cases in the newspaper celebrate in their own way, which lead to the gangsterism for the young generation. There are two higher learning institution are selected which is UiTM Samarahan Campus and UNIMAS. The reason why these two institutions are chosen because this paper want to have a good respons regarding on the problem statement. Furthermore, this research are to identify on how the young generation develop their awareness towards Malaysian Independence Day and also to analyze the effectiveness of the government strategy and mass media in influencing the young generation. Besides, the paper is also going to search some implication of Malaysian Independence Day, and find a recommendation to reduce the problem among the young generation in Malaysia.
