Nowadays, limitation of space is one problem that commonly faced by many furniture consumers whom stay in flat, apartment, rental house or hostel. Overcrowded living area creates economic and social issues, and the limitation of material choices not only lowers the quality of house holding merchandise, but also leads to the raise of the price. Due to all these complicated factors, multi-function furniture becomes one of the solutions for space sustainability. Multi-function furniture combines different functions into one piece to control the material consumption, creates opportunities for the interaction between the object and human, and effectively save user's space. At the same time, the price of multifunction furniture, by contrast, is usually more reasonable than purchasing several furniture pieces together. This kind of design becomes more and more popular among young generation, and it is the trend of today's furniture design. The objectives of this study were to produce low cost product for youth and students and multifunction table that minimizes the space. It also had dual function characteristic (as a study and makeup table). After completed with design process and manufacturing process, a survey had been conducted towards 161 correspondents to assess its characteristics based on gender, age, occupation and income. The performance that have been evaluated aspect of design, material and satisfaction. The results show that there is no significant difference for all performance. In can be concluded that the Dual Function Table For Study And Makeup was successfully designed and manufactured and has potential to be commercialized.
