Abstract
This study seeks to identify and analyze on monochromatic and analogous color scheme based on abandonment images. Utilizing the single and group of cool colors is to demonstrate the ability of the color in depicting a gloomy mood for the painting application. The early stages of observation are by photographing in the morning, and evening session to capture the best frame in revealing the gloomy mood. The monochromatic and analogous color that resulted from the color picker through a digital software will be analyzed to determine the suitable color code that will be used for the painting application. The purpose of using digital software is to collect data that can be used in addition to conventional methods to display the findings. Stripping the color away from the images allows to reveal the tonality, textures, contrast and the focus of the subject. Moreover, the list of artists that uses monochrome and analogous color scheme in a painting is used as a data and reference to analyze the color scheme which be beneficial for the creative process. The most important elements are identifying the color value from highest to lowest scale and demonstrating the number of values required to create tones in the painting. This study overall to demonstrates the significance of the monochrome and analogous color scheme in visualizing the concept of Port Dickson's abandonment building. Furthermore, the research process is to comprehend the qualitative approaches that derived from all collected data in identifying a color code to produce a physical color palette. The gathered color coding and proposed color palette will be suggested and recommended to other practicing artists or art academicians to utilize this method in portraying mood in a painting.
