Forging global connections through collaborative webinar between Akademi Farmasi Indonesia (AFIYO) and Universiti Teknologi MARA Kampus Bertam / Nur ‘Ainun Mokhtar …[et al.]

On 5 August 2023, a groundbreaking collaborative webinar was held between Universiti Teknologi MARA Pulau Pinang Branch and Akademi Farmasi Indonesia Yogyakarta (AFIYO). The event, themed "Optimising Natural Ingredients as a Pharmapreneur Idea for the Advanced Indonesia," successfully attracted over 400 participants from both countries.
Hosted by AFIYO, the webinar was live-streamed on their YouTube channel, allowing a broader audience to engage with the insightful discussions. The programme featured three distinguished speakers, each offering unique perspectives on the topic. Puan Nur 'Ainun Mokhtar, a senior lecturer from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universiti Teknologi MARA Bertam Campus, opened the session with a presentation on the "quality-by-design approach in natural product extraction and its importance in the pharmaceutical industry," a key area of her PhD research. Her insights set the stage for a deeper exploration of the potential of natural ingredients in pharmaceutical entrepreneurship.
