Abstract
Embarking on the journey as a lecturer is both thrilling and challenging. I had the unique opportunity to teach last semester international students from UNNES University in Semarang, Indonesia, in a laboratory environment at the College of Engineering, UiTM Pulau Pinang, and the experience was transformational.
Building Connections
Walking into the laboratory on the first day was a mix of excitement and nerves. I was greeted by eager faces from various parts of the world, all here to learn and engage with new perspectives. The diversity in the lab brought a richness to the teaching experience that I hadn't anticipated. Building relationships with students from diverse cultures was enjoyable. Understanding their varied educational backgrounds and expectations helped me make my teaching more inclusive and successful. While teaching, I learnt a lot from the student's various perspectives.
