Abstract

Tourism in Malaysia is expected to be rising in the future and every state have their own elements to attract tourist. Since Sarawak have a variety of element that attract tourist visit Sarawak, they need know what the important elements that need to focus. So the purpose of this study is to investigate what the real element that attract tourist choose Sarawak as holiday and level satisfaction among tourist when attend the event or festival in Sarawak. This study have used questionnaire as instrument to get the information needed from the tourist. To get the adequate information, 320 respondents that have picked randomly in Kuching and Miri area so all the respondents have equal chances to answer the questionnaire. Respondents from this study have different background with different range of age, how many times they have visited Sarawak, and also their occupation. Limit for this study are like cost constraint because of the gas and ticket price, limited time for this study, and area of coverage because Sarawak is to big. From this study, there are elements that need to focus like nature and wildlife, culture and entertainment, so they can increase the tourist that visit Sarawak.
