Abstract
This course is designed to introduce students to the foundations of music theory. It will cover basic music terminology, music notation and musical structure. Online and classroom activities will be carried out weekly to enhance and reinforce their comprehension of basic theoretical concepts. Topics to be covered include rhythm and its notation, melody, intervals, major and minor keys and scales, chromatic scales, triads, transposition and ornamentation.
