Abstract

According to the species Mahang Kapur (Macaranga hypoleuca) was selected as a main material in this study that chemical in the sample wood extracneous components. The experiment was carried out to know the percentage of extractives in Mahang Kapur species. The chemical constituents results have shown cold water solubility (14.47%), hot water solubility (6.05%), the alcohol-benzena solubility (5.896%) and 1% NaOH solubility (13.54%). However, this studied must be continued for know the better result of chemical constituents of Mahang Kapur.
