MUE731 : Music management & supervision / College of Creative Arts

This course provides students with a strong foundation in music management, administration and supervision. It equips students with effective management strategies, human resource development and leadership qualities pertinent to the real work environment. Students learn about effective management, administration and supervision in music education including supervisory procedures and techniques, fiscal responsibility, and other administrative matters. Issues pertaining to the organization, supervision, and evaluation of the total music program, problems of finance, and selection of personnel and equipment will be discussed. Students work in a group to plan, organise, and manage a music event for the school and / or higher educational institution.
