Abstract

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a disease where body cells multiply abnormally on the cervix in the reproductive system. Cervical cancer screening test is an alternative to prevent cervical cancer or to diagnose the condition at the early stage. This screening test consists of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV test) and the Pap test. HPV tests for infection, while a Pap smear is an examination of cervical cells.

Objective: This study was conducted to observe the level of awareness of women between the ages of 20 and 60 about cervical cancer screening tests. In addition, this study can help in evaluating their perceptions against cervical cancer screening tests and this can also indirectly determine their level of knowledge about cervical cancer screening tests.

Method: Both qualitative and quantitative are utilized to produce the estimated percentage of women aged 20 to 60 years with knowledges about cervical cancer screening. An online questionnaire was distributed to the targeted respondents who was women aged 20 to 60. The number of respondents was predetermined to be 50 respondents. The results derived from the online questionnaire were analyzed to come out with conclusion of women aged 20 to 60’ perception towards cervical cancer screening.

Result: A total of 59 respondents were involved in the questionnaire that was distributed online for 2 months. The questionnaire is divided into 5 parts. Part A to part E. The section is divided into several sections aimed at obtaining respondents' information in terms of general personal information, women's perception of cervical cancer screening, women's exposure to cervical cancer screening, cervical cancer screening test rates and factors that influence low cervical cancer screening rates.
