(eKampung) – a community web-based portal for Pagoh residents / Nur Syahirah Onn

Living in a community is the best way of live that a person can experience as you will always have someone to rely on. Nowadays, with the help of technologies, the engagement in a community become more stronger and easier as the community members can communicate with each other from everywhere and at anytime. People become more attach to the community as everyone has the same purpose. Therefore, this project is to propose an efficient way for Pagoh residents to communicate with each other more easier. The objective of this project is to develop eKampung which is a community web-based portal for Pagoh residents. The scope of this project is the residents from Pagoh. This project focuses on blasting events information and advertising businesses run by the residents. Residents can interact with each other through discussion forum. This project practices Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC) approach for the development. WDLC is divided into 6 phases which are planning, analyzing, design, development, testing and maintenance. This project practices until testing phase only. From the testing phase, most of the respondents gave a positive feedback for the community portal to engage and attach among residents. As a conclusion, eKampung: a community web-based portal for Pagoh residents will provide an effective platform for Pagoh residents to interact with each other.
