The development of CMS prototype for faculty of education, International Islamic University College Selangor (KUIS) using spiral approach / Ahmad Firdaus Ahmad Shater

This study covered on development, implementation and evaluation of content management system (CMS) prototype for used of Faculty of Education, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). This research aimed to observe and investigate existing issues and problems on current CMS used at Faculty of Education, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS). Six participants volunteer to participate in this project and covered three major groups that later going to use the system which is lecturers, staffs and students from Faculty of Education. This research also tried to tackle issues among users on the current system and developed a prototype CMS (e-praktikum) to solve the problems. Researcher also tried to use Spiral Approach in this project to make sure users are involving along with the development of the prototype. Participations from users are very important to researcher, so their involvement from the beginning of the project was very crucial. Using user requirements helped researcher to develop a complete prototype CMS (e-praktikum) that meet user needs. The prototype CMS (e-praktikum) will be useful for Faculty of Education in manages their information and data on practicum student. The prototype CMS (e-praktikum) hopefully will help user especially content editor at Faculty of Education to use CMS in effective way.
