Abstract

This report discusses my industrial training experience at Umedic Healthcare Sdn. Bhd at Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang from 1st September 2023 until 9th February 2024 which is 24 weeks. Industrial training is required for all the undergraduate programs under the Faculty of Business and Management as stipulated in the Plan of Study. Thus, before completing my studies for a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Finance, I was required to undergo internship attachment or on-the-job training (OJT).
During the 6 months of internship training, I experienced a great journey that I had not experienced before with a positive working environment. At Umedic Healthcare, I learn new tasks and work culture which enhance my skills and abilities to become a good worker in the future. As an internship student at Umedic Healthcare, I was assigned to the finance department. My responsibilities are to help in the daily transactions of the company. The tasks assigned to me are the registration of new debtors or suppliers, record keeping of company transactions, checking the receipt in the employee reimbursement form, and many more. By doing all the tasks given I can improve myself to be a better person when I start to work in the future.
The practical exposure gained during my internship served as a valuable complement to my academic knowledge, offering a bridge between theoretical concepts learned in the classroom and their real-world applications. This hands-on experience not only deepened my understanding but also allowed me to actively apply and test the skills and theories I had acquired in a professional setting. In conclusion, throughout my internship journey, I was fortunate to work alongside a team of supportive and helpful coworkers who played a pivotal role in enhancing my learning experience. Their guidance and willingness to share their expertise created a collaborative and enriching environment. Additionally, I had the privilege of having a friendly and approachable supervisor who not only provided valuable insights into the industry but also offered mentorship and advice whenever I encountered challenges. It gives me intense pleasure to recommend Umedic Healthcare as an internship location.
