Multipurpose study table / Hanis Madihah Musa … [et al.]

Pandemic Covid-19 impacted every sector and industry in Malaysia, including education, whereby most students have to continue their learning process online at home. Students had faced many problems with online learning at home during MCO (Movement Control Order), especially in terms of facilities/equipment. Most of the students did not have enough space to study conveniently due to too many things that needed to be used to perform a task. In the market, most of the tables, especially study tables, only display space to put a laptop and foldable. There is no essential feature such as lamps provided when buying the study table. Therefore, innovation needs to be made to improve the existing study table sold in the market to fulfil the needs. Our product’s name is “Multipurpose Study Table” and has six (6) enhanced elements (1) a chargeable folded desk lamp, which allows students to be more productive and focused on their studies even at night. In addition, our product is also equipped with (2) built-in Bluetooth speakers. Having a Bluetooth speaker attached to the table can help them enjoy their favorite songs while doing their job. (3) a mini drawer, whereby the student can have a compartment and space for any stationeries and small items to store. There will be a (4) cup or bottle holder, allowing students to safely set their drink on the table and not make them worry about accidentally spilling the water all over their things. It is also (5) foldable design, making it easier for the students to store and carry anyways. The multipurpose table also can be used for other activities, such as the make-up table, as it provides (6) a mini folded mirror inside the table. Our study table will make students feel more convenient in saving space and time, making it easy to carry and ergonomically.
