Abstract
The purposes of this study were to identify the importance of sustainability in green practices and to determine the usage of technology influences the sustainability of green practices in the hotel industry. The research design for this study was an argumentative method. The approach that the researcher used a theoretical framework to collect data. Furthermore, this study used secondary data such as past researches of journal articles and published articles from the internet as references to make a review. The example of journal articles that were used are Procedia Social and Behavioral Science, Journal of Social Sciences and Procedia Economics and Finance and others. At the end of this study, we concluded that the importance of sustainability in green practices is saving cost and purchase while the effective usage of technology that influence the sustainability of green practices is water conservation. Apart from that, the source of data use for the literature reviews was in general. The source of data did not focus on a specific location as there might be a difference in variables (importance of green practices and technology usage) based to the regions. The findings of the study help hotel practitioner to add their knowledge on the importance of green practices as well as the technology usage that influence the sustainability of green practices in hotel industry.
