Abstract

This course provides an exercise in preparation for the final year design project. It covers the total and in-depth approach in applying the design process on one project throughout the semester from research, inception to presentation of the design proposal. The focus will be on public interior spaces where the research phase will be carried out as a group project while the design development and final proposal will be carried out individually. The students are exposed to tasks such as identifying and addressing design problems and issues, developing hypothesis and theories in solving related problems and producing coherent design ideas and solutions.
