Abstract
The Department of Lands and Surveys was formed in 1918. Meanwhile, The Department of Lands and Surveys, Samarahan Division was formed in 1987 when Samarahan was officially declared as an administrative division (8 Division of Sarawak). It covers 540sq km and comprising of four district such as Samarahan, Asajaya, Simunjan and Serian. The other two sub-district are Tebedu and Sebuyau. The summary of Lands and Surveys Samarahan Division history can be viewed as the table 1.1 below.
