Side table is one of the furniture decoration that always been placed at the end of sofa or couches in living room. There also certain people who called side table as end table. However, end table and side table are definitely different in the term or characteristics. After all, these tables have their similarities and differences. To put it simply, side table is a small table which people use to put every where in their house hold. It is does not matter whether in the bathroom, corner of the room or even on the end of the sofa. Meanwhile for the end table, it is meant to be placed on the end of the sofa and couch only. Hence this is when the side table and end table serve the same function. People will certainly called this side table as end table. However, to be stated, end table is slightly has lower leg than side table. Both of these tables commonly have circle and square shape top. They also have an usual design in the market. Therefore, a different design of a side table by using a wood disc, epoxy resin and metal leg can bring out the uniqueness of this Modern Hexagonal Side Table. This side table can expose the wood grain appearance on top of it. A survey regarding this side table is run through the respondents by using a google form which are helping in data collection of this side table’s marketability. It is to collect a customer’s feedback in three different categories which are knowledge, design and satisfactory. This project also been started with collecting information until mock up building. The virtual image of this product also been sketched by using Sketch Up software and AutoCAD. It can be conclude that this Modern Hexagonal Side Table is approved to be commercialized based on the survey.
